Carmel Running Club 5k Race, Walk and Kid’s Fun Run 10/10/2010

The Carmel Running Club will host a 5K Cross Country Race, Walk and Kids Fun Run on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park in Carmel. Proceeds will benefit Jimmy B. and fighting for a cure against a form of Muscular Dystrophy FSHD.

This event is open to the public and runners of all levels are encouraged to participate. The 5K race will be run on the Park’s Cross Country trail which includes some open space and woods running. Prior to the 5K race, there will also be a Kids Fun Run that will involve only open space running. Child supervision will be available during the 5K Race and Walk. 9:30 AM: Kids Fun Run; 10 AM: 5K Race. 10:15 AM: 5K Walk. Please arrive 1 hour prior to race time.

Every child will receive a prize for participating. 5K pre-registered entrants will receive a free event T-shirt. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded for all age groups (U16, U19, U30, U40, U50, U60, U70).

The 5K race fee is $20 for pre-registration and $25 on the day of the race. Kids Fun Run fee is $2 on the day of the race – no preregistration.
