Parents, we know you’re going to the 2013 Putnam County Classic on July 4th. Did you know you can bring the kids and then can race too?
There are two kids 1/4 Mile Races, starting at about 10:15 or so, right after the 8 miler. Race 1 is for ages 2-8 and race 2 is for ages 9 and up.
It’s $2, day of race registration only.
The charity we’re supporting is Logan’s Hope. Logan MacDougall is a boy who lives in Mahopac who has Eosinophilic Disorder; his sister, Madison, also has the disorder.
Logan’s Hope is part of a broader organization called APFED (American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders). The APFED mission statement is anon-profit organization dedicated to patients and their families coping with eosinophilic disorders. APFED strives to expand education, create awareness, and support research while promoting advocacy among its members.
