Such an awesome day – Steve Calidonna was first in his division and our first finisher rocking with a freaking 6:29 pace in a Ten Miler. Martin crushed it as well, running a 1:06:12. Ken Pfaff was second in his divsion, and Greg Diamond, who seems unable to remember that he is injured, came in third. Jane Lundy came in second in her division, with our president, Tom Maile, coming in first in his division. What an amazing day.

Good afternoon, everyone,I applaud all of you who trekked into the Bronx this morning to race 10 miles in 76 degree heat with 68% humidity ,not to mention the daunting logistics to get there in the first place. Kudos to: Jane Lundy (1:12:27, 3rd in age), Kerry Monahan (1:16:08, 9th in age), Karen Davies (1:20:14, 7th in age), Ellen Mazzei, (1:21:38),Beth Smith (1:24:20), Veronica Chang (1:24:47), Maria Schanbacher (1:26:48), Zara DeLuca (1:36:20), Adrienne Viscardi (1:37:24), Teresa Hithe (1:39:31), Jennifer Robinson (1:41:11), Carla Mallen (1:44:51), Annamarie James (1:50:59), Nancy DelMonte (2:02:48), Jennifer Lee (2:07:38), Lisa Stamatelos (2:30:02), and Karen Grigsby (2:31:08).I am in Boulder without the rest of my notes, so the following results are very preliminary and any mistakes are mine. I will let you know if there are any changes.Our 40+ team finished in 6th place today, keeping us in 3rd place overall, just one point ahead of Dashing Whippets. Whew!Our 50+ women finished 2nd today, behind AdiRun (who have come out of nowhere), and remain handily in 1st place overall. Well done, ladies!Our next team race is the Staten Island Half on Oct. 8. It is nearing capacity, so if there is any chance you can run this race, please register ASAP.
