This will be the 2nd of three speed workouts at FDR held in conjunction with the monthly meeting.
This week we will do our pacing workout of 3 minutes out and 3 minutes back. The goal is to get back to the exact starting point without looking at one’s stop watch after the turnaround. Another goal will be to go slightly further on each one. I believe that there is a slight downhill coming from north (rt 202) end running towards the pool parking lot. The workout will be 4 sets with the 4th one being optional depending on weather conditions and one’s fitness level. The course is shady (I think).
This is a workout that kids can do as well and they and family members will be welcome to the meeting afterwards with free food and refreshments. Also club Prez George Grenier is renowned for keeping the boring parts as short and painless as possible.
