Orange County Classic 10k Road Race Weekend June 2nd and 3rd

We got an email about this really cool sounding 10k.  And I quote…

2012 marks the 32nd running of the world class 10K road race in Orange County, New York. Inspired by Middletown’s Olympic Marathon Gold and Silver Medal winner, Frank Shorter, the Classic 10K attracts elite and local runners alike.

Created in 1981, the first race featured a duel between Frank Shorter and marathon extraordinaire Bill Rodgers. Bill and Frank returned to do it again in 2007, albeit at a middle-of-the-pack pace, which put them in contention with our local runners.

Join us this year for all of the family festivities at the brand new, state-of-the-art track and stadium at Middletown High School !
