Thanks to Eliot Lee for sending us the following:

Many of you know Phil.  He is a local NY ultrarunner that has held the American record (48 hours), has won National Championships and has represented the USA at World Championships.  He has three top 10 finishes at the Badwater 135 Ultra (’09, ’10, ’12) and has completed the Spartathlon twice (’16, ’17).  He also has at least 5 top 3 finishes in our own Sybil Ludington 50K.  Phil crossed the tape on the steps of City Hall (New York) at about 4 pm this past Tuesday.

This is one of the fastest times ever across the USA on foot.

True to Phil form, he continued running to Coney Island to touch the Atlantic Ocean (having touched the Pacific before he started).  Congratulations to Phil!
