Scotland 10k April 4, 2014

Driving down to today’s race, with the gentle 30 mile per hour winds blowing our cars across the road, with a the sheets of rain gingerly caressing our windshields, it may have been easy to be a little worried about conditions at today’s race. But all in all, it turned out AWESOME. The winds simmered down, and by the time they picked up again it seemed they were at our backs. What a great day and a great showing by the Taconics.

Suzanne La Burt was our first finisher, placing second in her age group, as did Joe Porcaro and Carol Hansen!  Tom Maile and Cathy Groneman came in third.

Such a great day to be out there — and as Joe Porcaro pointed out, in a few weeks we will be begging for temperatures like this.
