Wednesday is Upon Us. Especially if you’re 40 or older!
Dear Jack,
This is, in theory, a members only email! But do share it with anyone to whom it applies.
Wednesday is the Master’s Challenge – which is a yearly competition between a bunch of the local clubs and their most senior members. In fact, anyone over 40 is welcome to race and anyone under 40 is welcome to come and cheer us on. And view the carnage.
Here’s the info from this year’s host:
Masters’ Challenge on July 20, 2016 at Rockefeller State Park, starting and finishing along Swan Lake. For the uninitiated, the race is for team members 40 and over, the distance a challenging 5K, and the opposition the Taconic Road Runner, Rockland Road Runners and possibly the Van Cortlandt Track Club. Refreshments will be served after the race. No t-shirts or metals, just bragging rights and a good time.

July 20. 7 pm start. Rockefeller State Park. Go to main entrance along 117. Start at north end of Swan Lake.

There is no pre-registration so just show up!

ps I keep forgetting to mention that Taconics now get a 10% discount at Run On Hudson Valley… how cool is that? It’s like free! Well, it’s 90% more than free. Wait if something is zero, 90% more is still zero. Math is hard.
